Crumbling up ramen noodles and toasting them at ChatGPTs suggestion...  (8/2/24)

...before folding them into dark chocolate.  (8/2/24)

The last time we did this in 2001, the kids were -6 and -12.  Also, it didn't turn out nearly as well because we cooked the noodles and used the chocolate as a sauce.  (8/2/24)

Putting a bell on their bike.  (8/3/24)

Lee found my old roller blades that are way too big for them.  (8/11/24)

"You can skate, you can jive, having the time of your life..."  (8/11/24)

As we drove six hours, we listened to spooky, Halloween-themed albums and brain-stormed the ghost stories we planned to write.  (8/14/24)

Camping out in a fort at Grand-Janet's and watching Young Sheldon.  (8/14/24)

This place does indeed look haunted.  (8/14/24)

Hanging out with Rocky, the cat who has signs all over Hot Lake Hotel saying not to let him inside.  (8/14/24)

Staying out of the lake and instead writing in lovely coffee shops and watching Edward Scissorhands in a weird little theater inside the hotel.  (8/14/24)

Picking out a nice bowl of petunias that is not in the process of falling.  (8/17/24)

Petunias and towels for a 42nd birthday party.  (8/17/24)

Fish-slapping each other and the presents.  (8/17/24)

Lee picked out a tiny Commander Riker for me.  (8/17/24)

Lee sings "Happy Birthday" in German once again.  (8/17/24)

For my birthday, we invented a name called Cornobble-tron.  (8/19/24)

It involves throwing plastic fish and a glowing frisbee over a net.  (8/19/24)

One of the fish got caught in the net.  This is probably worth many points.  (8/19/24)

Taking Piper for a walk in her new spaceship.  (8/22/24)

Piper needs lots of stimulation.  (8/22/24)

Pleading for a kitten or two.  In direct opposition to Piper's wishes.    (8/24/24)

Mixing up a chocolate cake from the Stardew Valley cookbook.  (8/24/24)

Cornobble-tron was amusing, but it turns out that there may be a reason people are more likely to play, say, badminton than to just throw plastic fish back and forth.  (8/25/24)

Though, when you play at our elite level, a lot of badminton is taking turns trying to serve.  (8/25/24)

Just getting the birdie over the net is a win.  (8/25/24)

Though getting it stuck in the net is still the biggest win.  (8/25/24)

Or maybe, getting ourselves outside at sunset to play a game in the Teddy Bear Garden is the biggest win.  (8/25/24)

A cake fit to feed all of Stardew Valley.  (8/25/24)

Stealing pearls from a King Murgle-urgle the Pearl Pilferer.  (8/27/24)

Sharing responsibiilty for taking care of the R2D2 Tamagotchi.  (8/27/24)

First, we cut off most of the hair, but left the bangs.  Then a couple days later, we're cutting off the bangs too.  (8/27/24)

An avid badminton player.  Or at least an eager one.  (8/28/24)

Kelly is a good cat.  (8/29/24)

And she still tolerates her children, even though they've gotten bigger.  (8/29/24)
