Lane signs along with the songs at the 30th annual Teddy Bear Picnic.  (7/20/24)

Lee waited very patiently in line for an hour after the picnic to get their face painted.  (7/20/24)

Looking good in their new cheetah spots.  Gotta go fast!  (7/20/24)

Hazel says 'no' to hugs.  (7/22/24)

Making progress on Skeleton Cat!  We killed off [SPOILERS], and we keep almost making it up to the arrival of Jose-Pierre.  (7/23/24)

Lee shows off their mobile sushi restaurant robot at the end of their Code Ninjas camp.  It scans the colors of things to tell you what they are.  The pink ones are salmon nigiri.  It thinks most everything else is lemonade.  And it wouldn't stop spinning in circles and falling over, so Lee took its wheels away.  (7/26/24)

Lee wakes up early and makes Lane's favorite kind of pancakes for his birthday breakfast -- banana chocolate chip.  (7/27/24)

Chin helps Lane open presents.  (7/27/24)

 A parade of delights.  (7/27/24)

A remarkable object like the heart of a music box made from knives at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.  And yes, Lee is wishing Lane a "happy birthday" in ASL.    (7/27/24)

Seventeen years old.  Oh yeah.  (7/27/24)

Lee sings "Zum Geburtstag viel Glück" to match the unintentional theme created by watching Dark and listening to Nena this year.  (7/27/24)

We had to lock Avery outside, and it took two episodes of Taylor Swift: Journey to Fearless, but we blew up 99 of them...  (7/27/24)

When we let her in, Avery was in heaven.  (7/27/24)

Neun-und-neunzig luftballoons!  (7/27/24)

Lee and a neighborhood cat both pretend to act casual while actually stalking each other.  Lee wants to pet the cat.  The cat wants to catch the balloon's string.  (7/27/24)

For once, a giant bird doesn't look like it wants to eat Lee.  (7/28/24)

Lee offers their fingers to a friendly looking horse.  (7/28/24)

The horse is apparently hungry and wants to EAT Lee's fingers!  (7/28/24)

The non-plussed look of a horse who is no longer being offered tasty little fingers.  (7/28/24)

Zooming along on a roller coaster.  (7/28/24)

Swimming through an obstacle course.  (7/28/24)

This dinosaur seems to think Lemon might make a nice snack.  (7/28/24)

Lee loves the rides that you walk through...  (7/28/24)

Spinning, spinning, spinning.  (7/28/24)

Once again, there was no Scrambler, but the Super Orbiter was pretty good.  We rode it once before watching the concert by Red: A Taylor Swift Cover Band and twice after.  (7/28/24)

Somehow, our ticket had two extra rides on it, which is exactly how many more rides Lee had been wanting to try out.  Amazing luck!  (7/28/24)

Wrapping up a big day with a marionette bear and a wooden katana.  (7/28/24)

Cory the dancing bear dances their way home.  (7/28/24)

We still have a lot of red balloons around...  (7/29/24)

So we brought one out to the trampoline.  (7/29/24)

It added a whole new level to the family trampoline jump.  (7/29/24)
