Saying goodbye to Piper before heading to Denmark for a week.  (4/5/25)

First thing in the morning in Oregon, the kids could call us... at the very end of our evening in Denmark.  (4/6/25)

These calls were not super-coherent, but we did discover embedded emojis in the phone interface -- TWO FISH STICKS.  (4/7/25)

Time for a rousing game of cornobbletron with fish flying every which way in the air.  (4/15/25)

All tired out from all the cornobbling.  Or... at least... the sun is going down and all the fish are on the ground.  (4/15/25)

Lane picks out all the details of his suit for prom to a soundtrack of late 50s and early 60s pop music.  (4/16/25)

Lee waits patiently.  (4/16/25)

Learning some French while we continue to wait.  It was a very long errand.  (4/16/25)

Finally, the weather is nice enough to go to the dog park again.  (4/17/25)

The dog park is a great place for climbing trees.  (4/17/25)

Treats at the market...  (4/18/25)

...and work at the market.  (4/18/25)

Theoretically, the treats were supposed to inspire work.  (4/18/25)

Eventually, Lee compromises by learning some French on Duolingo.  (4/18/25)

Divvying up the eggs, mostly by color.  And, yet, somehow Lee always ends up with the most.    (4/19/25)

Panier d'oeufs.  (4/19/25)

We all woke up at different times, but we all got our baskets when we were ready for them.  (4/20/25)

Easter morning video games with friends.  (4/20/25)

Calico Critters and an Easter kitten.  (4/20/25)

Pancakes and jus d'orange.  (4/20/25)

An idea is born.  (4/20/25)

Perfect pancake toss.  (4/20/25)

Filling eggs with fruit loops and popcorn for the egg hunt.  (4/20/25)

Hunting eggs is a very serious endeavor.  (4/20/25)

Or maybe an opportunity for jokes?  But in this case, the joke led to finding an actual egg.  (4/20/25)

Pondering the possibilities.  (4/20/25)

So many places that the eggs could hide.  (4/20/25)

As per usual, we lost count eventually and found ourselves hunting for eggs that had already been caught.  (4/20/25)

And finally, we get around to dying some eggs.  (4/20/25)

Blue and yellow.  (4/20/25)

Fish scales and more.  (4/20/25)

A kitten at bedtime.  (4/21/25)

Checking math problems together.  (4/21/25)

A lovely day for backyard grilling.  (4/21/25)

Very upside down.  (4/23/25)

A nice afternoon fieldtrip to a local bowling alley.  (4/25/25)

Inspired by Arrested Development, Lee builds a Tiny Town out of boxes... and then stomps it.  (4/25/25)

Lane realizes his bowling ball (which is yellow) is a lemon.  This makes more sense if you were watching Arrested Development with us when Lane encountered that idiom for -- apparently -- the very first time ever.  (4/25/25)

Lane and Heather Holly head out to pick up their flowers for prom.  (4/26/25)

Discussing how delighted the florist seemed to see us.  Upon seeing Heather Holly, she immediately declared, "Oh!  I remember about this!"  (4/26/25)

All dressed up and ready to find out if his high school prom is more colorful than an orange.  (4/26/25)

Lane practiced a couple voices for Heather Holly in preparation for this.  (4/26/25)

They had a lovely, healing time that involved running into several old friends, but overall, it turns out that parties can be kind of boring.  (4/26/25)

Strawberry chocolate cake and Arrested Development for the afterparty, however, is not so boring.  (4/26/25)

Lee gets the sprite they've drawn for the video game they're designing to actually walk.  4/28/25)

A trip to the Eugene Science Center for a talk about meteorites, followed afterward by exploring the usual exhibits.  (4/30/25)

Building a windmill.  (4/30/25)

Washing and chopping vegetables.  Chopping is the good part.  (4/30/25)
