After spending the evening in Portland reading and listening to ponderous poems about mortality, I returned to the vibrant, forceful chaos of home.  (3/9/25)

Stewing up a surprisingly spicy broth.  (3/8/25)

This was supposedly a rhubarb pie, but it was strangely... celery-like.  We learned later, it was actually red chard pie.  So, considering that, it was pretty good!  (3/10/25)

Preparing lots of goat cheese...  (3/12/25)

...for a pair of delicious pizzas from the Stardew Valley cookbook.  (3/12/25)

Checking the recipe...  (3/13/25)

...and checking again.  (3/13/25)

Adding ingredients.  (3/13/25)

And stirring them up.  (3/13/25)

Trying to make a "pi" with a pineapple in preparation for Pi Day.  (3/13/25)

Receiving his acceptance to college!  (3/14/25)

The kids have been making a lot of delicious meals.  (3/15/25)

The risotto turned out rather spicy, because it was made with the surprisingly spicy broth.  But the cheesy cauliflower was exceptionally good.  (3/15/25)

Discussing their different assignments while doing schoolwork in the afternoon.  (3/16/25)

Cake and toasts while watching late night Friends.  (3/16/25)

Julian doesn't know why he spends so much time being held.  He just doesn't get the appeal.  (3/19/25)

Someone gets extra rambunctious right at bedtime, and on this occassion, needed to be tickled away for the night.  (3/19/25)

Carefully cutting out robot cookies in retro-active celebration of a recent book release, in addition to the gear cake we ate on the day.  So many baked goods!  (3/21/25)

Just a handsome young fella getting a new haircut.  (3/21/25)

Haircuts right up to bedtime.  Avery closely monitoring, of course.  (3/21/25)

Too tired to go to bed.  (3/21/25)

Holding something fluffy.  (3/25/25)

Seriously, Julian doesn't know why this happens to him so much.  He doesn't know he's fluffy.  That's what makes him fluffy.  (3/25/25)

And suddenly, AI can make us look like characters from a Studio Ghibli movie.  Utterly delightful.  (3/26/25)

It's good to have a big, funny hound to cuddle.  (3/27/25)

Perusing possible recipes to make in the future.  (3/29/25)

An early birthday celebration, before we fly off to Denmark.  (3/31/25)

Birthday dogs for the birthday dad.  (3/31/25)
