Pointing to the treehouse where we had originally planned to spend two nights...  (4/13/23)

...but it turned out to be too high.  Way too high.  (4/13/23)

There were horses everywhere.  So many horses.  (4/13/23)

Wrestling with a tire swing while the adults wrestle with where we'll stay.  (4/13/23)

A very cozy loft, much closer to the ground.  Still technically a treehouse, but not nearly so high.  (4/13/23)

Once we were settled, we went searching for all the different swings.  (4/13/23)

So much swinging.  (4/13/23)

So many swings.  (4/13/23)

Whooooosh...  (4/13/23)

...BANG!  (4/13/23)

Some would call this a hammock...  (4/13/23)

...others believe it's a trampoline.  (4/13/23)

A quiet game of SET after a long day, before a very late dinner.  A raccoon watched us eat, jealously from the window.  (4/13/23)

A delicious breakfast in Treegadoon, surrounded by treehouses and horses.  (4/14/23)

Last night, we heard a man yelling "Danger!" toward us from the distance...  (4/14/23)

...it turned out he was actually calling this dog, "Ranger."  (4/14/23)

A very, overly friendly dog.  (4/14/23)

The kids negotiate how to divide up the two bunk beds available to them in the yurt we'll be staying in tonight.  (4/14/23)

Just a fierce family of velociraptors deep in the redwood forest.  (4/14/23)

We had to ride a ski lift-like gondola to get up here, singing Taylor Swift's "...Ready For It?" most of the way.  (4/14/23)

Hiking back down, rather than taking the gondola again.  It was incredibly steep and a lot of fun.  (4/14/23)

Yes, we walked along those sky bridges.  They were much too high.  (4/14/23)

An overview of everywhere we walked today at Trees of Mystery.  Also, Lee finally found a good walking stick.  (4/14/23)

Teaching the kids about tree rings.  Though, I think they already knew most of it.  (4/14/23)

The child is too high in the air.  (4/15/23)

We added two hours of harrowing cliff-side driving to our day so that the children could pet a friendly leopard shark named "Mary."  Worth it.  (4/15/23)

The seals were trained to do impressions of zombies and clearly wanted to do tricks all day.  (4/15/23)

"Surfing is the only life, the only way for me.  Now, surf.  Surf with me."  (4/15/23)

Behind the scenes.  (4/15/23)

We went on an incredible tour of Great Cats World Park.  (4/15/23)

This tiger, Banshee, had a lot to say and got very excited about pacing back and forth with Lee.  (4/15/23)

Photographing the Geoffrey's Cat.  (4/15/23)

Lane continues teaching Lee to bake and also decorate cupcakes.  (4/20&21/23)

An unusual setup.  (4/22/23)

A very cool biker.  (4/22/23)

Both of these puppies would rather run than walk.  (4/25/23)

Walking is boring.  Running is fun.  (4/25/23)

Amy loves her squirrel toy.  (4/28/23)

Checking out all the fun things to be found at a thrift store.  (4/29/23)

A cat who's very at home in the treetops.  (4/30/23)

Lee's been getting better at making s'mores.  (4/30/23)

Perfectly toasty brown.  (4/30/23)
