Lee goes next door to check on the cat Grand Janet has temporarily taken in.  (3/5/23)

Playing at home and nurturing little creatures while volunteering at Greenhill Humane Society.  (3/9/23)

Lee needed something to do, so I set them up with my copy of Redwall.  (3/12/23)

Reading Redwall.  (3/12/23)

Somehow reading Redwall got harder.  (3/12/23)

A truce?  Perhaps.  (3/12/23)

A sudden, spontaneous tea party.  (3/12/23)

The end of an era.  Theresa made it almost to nineteen.  Goodbye, Tiny Cat.  (3/13/23)

The end of a hard day.  (3/13/23)

Walking by the river after a nice meal at McMennamins.  (3/16/23)

Pretentious ice cream from Salt & Straw.  (3/16/23)

Taking advantage of the break in the weather.  (3/16&17/23)

Communing with trees.  (3/17/23)

The kids missed yogurt places with topping bars, so they set up one of our own.  (3/22/23)

"Olive hands not on Thanksgiving?  What is this!  A WRONG episode???"  (3/23/23)

Time for a trip to to the past.  I mean, Seattle.  (3/27/23)

After a very long drive, the kids had some energy to get out.  (3/27/23)

A box of Trophy cupcakes.  (3/27/23)

This cupcake had a cookie on top and in the middle.  (3/27/23)

It's been a while since we've visited these cows.  (3/27/23)

A quiet evening in a basement apartment beside Green Lake.  We played a meme card game, drank fancy ginger beer, and ate pho from Than Brothers.  (3/27/23)

Ready for our big day in Seattle.  (3/28/23)

Offering a french fry to one of the pretty little birds in front of Pike Place Market.  (3/28/23)

In the underwater dome.  (3/28/23)

The river otters were much more active than the sea otters, who were busy eating crabs.  But the sea otters were more fun to sing about...  (3/28/23)

To the tune of "The Trolley Song":
"Chomp, chomp, chomp goes the otter,
Snap, snap, snap goes the crab,
Spin, spin, spin goes the otter...
From the moment I saw them I swam!"
(3/28/23)

This seal was all twisty neck and judgemental side-eye.  (3/28/23)

Tentacle attack!  (3/28/23)

The full downtown Seattle experience -- lots of treats, perusing Pike Place, amazing skyline, and getting lost looking for our car in the maze of parking lots.  Everything except for flying fish!  (3/28/23)

Enjoying the baked goods we bought at Pike Place beside the best playground in the universe and a giant mandala.  (3/28/23)

While wandering around the base of the space needle, we discovered the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum was open for another 45 minutes... (3/28/23)

Look, a ceiling!  (3/28/23)

Surrounded by color and beauty.  (3/28/23)

Such a beautiful and surreal place.  (3/28/23)

"Fireball!"  (3/28/23)

Just hanging out with the space needle.  (3/28/23)

A truly giant fountain.  (3/28/23)

Unwinding from a very long, busy day.  (3/28/23)

Lee's reaction to being surprised by a photo of themself suddenly appearing on their phone.  (3/28/23)

Time to walk all the way around Green Lake.  (3/29/23)

We stopped to get Italian sodas near where the granitas stand used to be, and Lee ran around barking at ducks just like Patrick used to.  (3/29/23)

On our way out of town, we stopped at The Museum of Flight.  (3/29/23)

Standing in front of a B-17, the kind of plane their Grandpa Wes flew in WWII.  (3/29/23)

There were a lot of fun, interactive displays at the Museum of Flight.  (3/29/23)

And a lot of cool space stuff!  After looking at all the planes and things, we picked up dinner at Uwajimaya, and then our Seattle trip was done.  (3/29/23)
