Cat swaddling has become a popular pastime in our house.  (12/1/25)

The angriest swaddle ever.  (12/2/25)

Hannah would like to be included in whatever this is.  (12/2/25)

The different hats of Christmas tree construction.  (12/2/25)

The tree is going up, but Lee seems to have fallen down.  (12/2/25)

Ice skating field trip.  (12/12/25)

Out there, spinning on the ice, skating backwards, and basically just being awesome.  (12/12/25)

Sometimes, we drag Hazel out and force her to endure some positive attention.  She hates it and also clearly kinda loves it.  (12/13/25)

It's important to keep Julian confused.  (12/17/25)

And what's more confusing than bringing over Annie from next door for a playdate?  (12/17/25)

Who could this possibly be for???  (12/18/25)

Preparations for Christmas begin in earnest.  (12/19/25)

A feast of several fishes.  (12/20/25)

Lane baked trout and root vegetables in homemade pesto.  (12/20/25)

Lee is getting really good at wrapping presents.  (12/21/25)

Singing Christmas carols.  (12/21/25)

Avery takes all the credit for keeping this gathering orderly and successful.  (12/21/25)

Julian doesn't understand what's happening, but he would like to chew on that ribbon.  (12/23/25)

Time to construct great works of art out of sugar in every possible form.  (12/24/25)

Gingerbread houses and paper crafts.  (12/24/25)

Lovely snowflakes.  (12/24/25)

Hannah thinks she would like some molten sugar.  She is wrong.  (12/24/25)

Gingerbread swamp filled with frogs.  (12/24/25)

Double rainbow acrsoss the swamp and rainbow roof over the tavern with a frog bartender hidden inside.  (12/24/25)

Piper tries to pet Lane using her claws.  (12/24/25)

Piper is needs attention.  Needs it.  NEEDS it.  (12/24/25)

We get a surprise visit from the Dethemberween Thnickaman with his "hedge trimmers."  (12/24/25)

Lane and Hannah are ready to hear 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  (12/24/25)

Lee starts out by trying to read the poem in a Shrek accent...  (12/24/25)

Once Lee's accent settles down, he does a lovely job of reading the traditional poem for us all.  (12/24/25)

Lee was the last one awake, but we finally all gather for stockings and breakfast.  (12/25/25)

The Thnikaman didn't leave blank media in our shoes, but he may have told Santa to leave chargers in our stockings.  (12/25/25)

The children are bewildered by truffle oil, but Santa must have heard about how much Lee loved the fancy truffle pasta in Paris.  (12/25/25)

Lee desperately wants to punch this present but is cruelly forced to eat some breakfast first.  (12/25/25)

After punching his first present, Lee gets to kick his second one.  (12/25/25)

Mast down in one!  (12/25/25)

Sea creatures for Lane.  (12/25/25)

Lee is now properly outfitted to be a Jedi hiding in the desert, complete with weaponry.  (12/25/25)

Annie bought "snacks for Joolian" and snuck them into Lane's bag of presents!  (12/25/25)

Daniel recieves the long-awaited Uncle The Cheat who proceeds to hide in cupboards and surprise people.  (12/25/25)

Taking careful aim.  (12/25/25)

Enjoying his win.  (12/25/25)

Lee performs card tricks with the new magic kit Lane gave him.  (12/25/25)

We played a very confusing escape room-style card game about Schroedinger's cat in French.  It took all of us just to figure out what was going on.  (12/27/25)

Then we played a simpler game.  (12/27/25)

Time to try out the new skateboard.  (12/28/25)

After practicing for a while, Lee decided he was ready to actually try out the skate park area.  (12/28/25)

"The key is to stop thinking about how I'm falling and just stand."  (12/28/25)

Lane brought Annie over for a play date here.(12/28/25)

Our animals were very, very confused.  (12/28/25)

"So hard to laugh a child-like giggle, when the tears start to torture my mind.  So hard to shed the life of before, to let my soul automatically soar."  (12/29/25)

Lee and I consder all the possible toys we could print up with our new 3D-printer.  (12/29/25)

Lee selected a most excellent little robot to make.  (12/29/25)

Making more robots.  (12/30/25)

Julian likes toys!  Is that a toy?  He's not sure...  (12/30/25)

We spent New Years Eve playing confusing games.  (12/31/25)

We finally broke out the Trogdor game... and it was especially confusing!  (12/31/25)

Burninating the villages... and also maybe punching them.  (12/31/25)

So many games.  (12/31/25)

Cheers at midnight.  (12/31/25)

Time for 2026!  (12/31/25)

Piper does not understand Uncle The Cheat.  (12/31/25)
