Avery is so pleased with the good job she's doing overseeing the attention that Lane is paying to Cole.  Good jobs all around!  (9/1/22)

Such chaos!  And yet, Avery is still happy.  The sheep may be chaotic, but at least they're not being boring.  (9/1/22)

Surrounded by ripe blackberries.  (9/4/22)

The kids ate their absolute fill of fresh berries.  (9/4/22)

Lee rushes downstairs repeatedly in the middle of the night to update us on how far they are through the Animorphs series.  (9/4/22)

Lee and Avery raced around the dog park until they were both tired.  (9/5/22)

Almost but not quite too big for this kind of ride.  (9/5/22)

Hazel deigns to be petted.  (9/6/22)

Looking over their new school supplies provided by the school.  (9/6/22)

A family game of Bananagrams at the very end of summer break.  (9/6/22)

First day of 4th grade!  (9/7/22)

First day of sophomore year!  (9/7/22)

An attempted science experiment -- unfortunately, it didn't exactly result in rock candy so much as a sticky sludge, because we were making them upside down.  (9/10/22)

On a last minute whim, we decided to go to Emerald City Comic Con.  (9/11/22)

When we arrived at the chaos of Comic Con, we split into two groups.  Lane went off with friends, and we followed Lee around.  (9/11/22)

Hiding among the droids you aren't looking for.  (9/11/22)

Lee shot first.  (9/11/22)

Perfectly normal Comic Con activities -- dancing with robots and drawing what music looks like.  (9/11/22)

Showing off their artwork -- this music looked like a piano accordian.  You'd need long arms to play it.  (9/11/22)

Taking a selfie with our new Purrmaids.  (9/11/22)

Mine is Hedda; Lee's is Shorange.  (9/11/22)

Tired after a long day at Comic Con.  (9/11/22)

Shorange goes everywhere with Lee.  Even up in trees.  (9/12/22)

Checking the Little Free Library where we found a bunch of Animorphs last month to see if there's anything else good.  (9/14/22)

Staying up late watching horror movies.  (9/17/22)

Tropical vacation in the backyard.  (9/18/22)

Once every fifteen years or so, a Sheltie finds something funny.  (9/19/22)

Avery, who is very concerned with the state of people's faces, thought this was a good joke.  (9/19/22)

The child has turned into a tube monster.  Perhaps a taxxon?  (9/19/22)

Piper and Avery "help" Lee get ready for bed.  (9/20/22)

Avery is a good, attentive dog.  (9/21/22)

Working on classes at the 5th Street alley.  (9/22/22)

Kelly helps Lane with reading Frankenstein for Gothic Literature.  (9/22/22)

Avery "helps" with reading Frankenstein.  (9/22/22)

Lunch and schoolwork at the market.  (9/24/22)

Working at the market is a nice escape from the daily routine at home.  (9/24/22)

Buddy the Elf as a sock puppet, designed to help Lane record a video audition, which Lane ended up deciding not to do.  The sock puppet though remains awesome.  (9/28/22)
