Decorating a rather bewildering cake for one of their friends.  (3/1/21)

Once the cake was done, Lane arranged to deliver it, along with two daffodils, to celebrate their two year friend-a-versary.  (3/1&2/21)

After leaving the cake at the top of the stairwell, they were able to come back downstairs and enjoy chatting across a safe distance.  Their friend excitedly exclaimed, "This cake is my gender!" upon seeing it.  (3/2/21)

We passed some turkey on our walk.  Why won't they join us?  (3/2/21)

Ah, they were heading the other way.  (3/2/21)

Baking cookies for Butterfly Weekend.  (3/5/21)

Bright, colorful cookies.  Like butterfly wings!  (3/5&6/21)

Stopping by the daffodils along our way.  (3/6/21)

Time to make more butterfly themed baked goods... this time, a fruit pizza.  (3/6/21)

Captain Marvel prepares to fight a robot.  (3/6/21)

Uh oh, dinosaurs and dragons showed up!  (3/6/21)

The final, colorful, wonderful confection.  (3/6/21)

Building toys, puppy... what more could a kid want?  (3/7/21)

Just like Peter Parker, Lee poses Spider-Man and photographs him.  (3/8/21)

Building all kinds of houses, both big and small.  (3/8/21)

Taking Avery for a long, rambliing walk over the hill.  (3/10/21)

Lee had been wanting to photograph the Wishing Tree, but we'd had trouble finding it on our last walk...  (3/10/21)

This time we found the tree, and Lee took a perfect picture.  (3/10/21)

Our walk brought us to the water tower, which is also a hostile alien spaceship.  Fortunately, the aliens are afraid of cameras.  (3/10/21)

Stopping to climb every tree along our way.  (3/10/21)

Lane plays a demon in the Upstart Crow play She Kills Monsters.  (3/12/21)

Lane really struggled with this role, but by show time, they gave a killer performance.  (3/12/21)

Just two kids enjoying a snack before going on a walk.  (3/14/21)

As part of Dragon Weekend, Lee battled a Box Dragon...  (3/14/21)

...the Box Dragon never stood a chance against Lee's giant mecha arms.  (3/14/21)

"This is my cave!" says the prince of fairies.  (3/14/21)

Filling the mud puddle with flowers.  (3/16/21)

Sunlight and dogs.  (3/17/21)

Delighted by magnolia blossoms, and posing with their friend Conic.  (3/17/21)

Stopping to admire the Tiny Art Gallery.  (3/17/21)

Two of the best activities:  baking and walking dogs.  In this case, vegan lofthouse cookies for a friend, and untangling the dogs after Avery wrapped her leash in circles around everyone, but especially Cole.  (3/22&24/21)

Getting out some of that infinite energy.  (3/24/21)

The pendulums that never stop.  (3/24/21)

Gray days like this are perfect for finding empty playgrounds.  (3/24/21)

It's not always clear that Avery wants to be held...  (3/24/21)

...but Lee loves holding her so much, and she does put up with it.  (3/24/21)

Collecting supplies for a top secret potion to make Sonic run ever faster, because he needs to run a race against his evil twin.  (3/25/21)

Chanting "oo-rah, do-rah, oo-rah, do-rah" over the potion.  Then it has to wait overnight, but it'll be ready before the race.  (3/25/21)

Two wild young creatures.  (3/26/21)

I wanted to re-watch My Best Friend's Wedding, so the kids decided we should have wedding weekend...  (3/26/21)

Lane baked a three layer cake and spent literally all day decorating it with flowers.  (3/26/21)

It turned out absolutely, ridiculously gorgeous.  Just so beautiful.  (3/26/21)

Lee prepared a wedding venue for a series of weddings to be performed throughout the weekend...  (3/26/21)

Of course, the weddings were kicked off by Buzz and Woody's renewal of vows.  (3/26/21)

We all watched and cheered as Lee performed the weddings.  In spite of much eagerness from the many couples, Lee insisted that dancing had to wait until all the weddings were done.  (3/26/21)

"This is String Man."  (3/26/21)

Lee is very excited to read books about Minecraft.  (3/27/21)

There are so many treasures to be found when we walk around our neighborhood.  This is a lovely little spot beside a tiny art gallery.  (3/27/21)

This garden is filled with dinosaurs, all carefully labeled.  (3/27/21)

More bubbles.  (3/27/21)

More and more bubbles.  (3/27/21)

We grew butterflies!  From caterpillars!  (3/28/21)

A pleasant afternoon at the meadow, spent weaving daisy chains and sprinkling grass on the puppy. (3/28/21)

Driving the dogs over to a bigger park for a bigger walk.  (3/30/21)

In spite of the cats' best efforts, our butterflies survived.  (3/31/21)

Each kid got to hold one, before they flew off into the sky.  (3/31/21)
