A magic spell for vanishing bad habits.  (3/1/20)

A lovely day for a walk.  (3/1/20)

Delta Ponds.  (3/1/20)

A homemade pizza, decorated to have the face of a bear, to celebrate my eight Ursa Major nominations.  (3/1/20)

Too cool for school.  And Wesley asked me to draw a monster with four arms, four legs, one mouth, and one eye.  (3/2&4/20)

A cheerful, technicolor Munchkin greets Dorothy in the Upstart Crow production of The Wizard of Oz.  (3/6/20)

An actor with a wide range:  from cheerful Munchkin to fearsome flying monkey.  (3/6/20)

Elaine plays a Tin Man with a big heart.  (3/6/20)

"If I only had a heart..."  (3/6/20)

Flowers for a very fine performance.  (3/6/20)

Flowers and friends.  (3/6/20)

Watching the trains pass by 5th St. Market while we work.  And going on walks, while Elaine's busy with rehearsals.  (3/7&9/20)

Returning to his old preschool stomping grounds, where we used to wander around looking at the statues, especially the big silver TARDIS to the Ghostbusters planet.  (3/9/20)

Halfway up Spencer Butte.  (3/11/20)

At the top of Spencer Butte.  (3/11/20)

It's not actually a clover, but it does have a lot of leaves!  (3/12/20)

Watching Jeeves & Wooster inspired Wesley to design a robot.  (3/12/20)

Unlike Jeeves though, this robot will be designed to obey Wesley's every command without question.  (3/12/20)

To keep everyone connected during quarantine, Upstart Crow held a virtual talent show.  The kids won "Judge's Choice" with their dance stylings to "Strawberry Pie."  (3/13/20)

I told Wesley to put on something warmer for going on a walk.  They put on this.  We went on a walk.  (3/14/20)

Elaine sings "The Circle of Life" while Wesley dances.  (3/14/20)

In spite of quarantine, we managed to celebrate Pi Day with shepherd's pie, apple pie, and chocolate pie.  (3/14/20)

Wesley made fruit smoothies with the ice cream left over from pie day.  (3/15/20)

The kids sing, "What's the name of this dog?"  (3/15/20)

The kids and their band of aquatic puppets perform "Under the Sea."  (3/16/20)

The kids insisted that if they left an offering out for the leprechauns, then the leprechauns would bring them chocolate.  Bizarrely, it worked.  (3/16/20)

Elaine collects daisies and braids them into chains as we walk.  (3/17/20)

"The Nature King doesn't need a daisy crown."  Although, they do have one.  (3/17/20)

"The Nature King always picks a random Nature Prince," says Wesley to their randomly chosen Nature Prince.  (3/17/20)

Taking a quiet moment in a quiet place.  (3/17/20)

If only the trails had stayed this quiet.  (3/17/20)

A dragon with their rainbow drawings and rainbow decorated spelling tests.  See, once you have pictures of them, you can recycle them.  (3/17/20)

Rocks and a river add up to a whole activity.  (3/18/20)

Sometimes skipping stones, sometimes just chucking them as hard as they can. (3/18/20)

As more and more people quarantine, it's a narrower and narrower path to walk through the wilderness and avoid them.  (3/18/20)

We seek the road less traveled.  (3/18/20)

Wesley has opened up a pizza shop and offers delivery for a reasonable fee.  This is a breakfast pizza.  (3/19/20)

The jello dessert pizza came highly recommended.  I paid 1 cent and received three dollars in change.  However, somehow, while I received pictures of pizza, Wesley went and got the last piece of actual leftover pizza from the refrigerator.  (3/19/20)

Wesley proceeds to wax philosophic about how the pizzas they sold me don't even look real, while tightly clutching the last of the real pizza.  (3/19/20)

Wesley reads a passage from the book they've been reading, for an Upstart Crow challenge.  (3/19/20)

For an Upstart Crow challenge to make art outdoors, Wesley built a wall and drew a mural on it.  (3/20/20)

Trudy is a very old dog, but she is somehow still alive.  (3/20/20)

Wesley does the dishes.  (3/22/20)

Elaine makes jam tarts.  (3/22/20)

A fine, civilized time.  (3/22/20)

With all the free time and lack of structure, Elaine has taken up baking pastries and serving afternoon tea for us all.  (3/23/20)

Carl joins us for tea.  (3/24/20)

Reading a bedtime story to those both near and far.  (3/25/20)

Elaine makes scones.  Wesley devours them.  They had chocolate chips and were really good.  (3/29/20)

Wesley spent the afternoon at Grand Janet's house where they made a staff, named it Staffy, and then played Monopoly with it.  Wesley was the banker, but Staffy won.  (3/30/20)
